Visitor information

We extend a warm welcome to visitors to this fine parkland course, designed by the famous Willie Park in 1913 and offering many challenging holes which will test the ability of any golfer. The par 70, 18 hole course offers a wide array of hazards to negotiate over its 6,343 yards. Its easy walking makes it perfect for golfers of all ages and abilities.

We would like you to enjoy the course and its facilities and can offer fine hospitality in our clubhouse and restaurant. Visitors are always welcome and can play on weekdays, Saturday and Sunday afternoons subject to any competitions taking place . Changing facilities, showers and towels are available. Equipment and buggies can be hired if needed (please book in advance so as not to be disappointed)

Visiting parties are welcome weekdays and Sunday afternoons and casual visitors may play weekends if there is no competition being played.

Tee times can be booked by book using our BRS system https://www.tynemouthgolfclub.com/brs.aspx or calling the Golf Shop on 01912580728 or the Secretary on 01912574578 or calling in person.

On arrival visitors must register with the Golf Shop or Bar and obtain their green fee ticket before play. You may be required to produce this if requested by our Course Ranger. Play is from the Yellow (Men) and Red (Ladies) tees only. Golf Buggies and trolleys are for hire and can be booked in advance through the Golf Shop

Visitors have full use of the Club's facilities – practice area, putting green, bar, lounge, dining room, changing rooms and showers.

Wheelchair access and disability facilities are provided.

Handicap Certificates

Visitors are expected to have some golfing ability, maintain a reasonable pace of play, comply with golf etiquette and the Rules of Golf. In the interest of the majority, our Course Ranger will invite anyone he sees not playing to an acceptable standard or level of behaviour to leave the course.

Mobile Phones

Members, guests and visitors are respectively reminded that the use of mobile phones is prohibited in the clubhouse and only in an emergency on the golf course

WINTER PLAYING RULES

The following rules will now apply.

COMPULSORY Teeing up on all fairways and closely cut areas / green surrounds.

IN THE ROUGH Lift, clean and place ball within 6 inches.

Teeing up means to clearly lift your ball above / off the grass to avoid any damage / divots when playing your shot.

These rules apply at all times including competitions.
