Senior Section
Tynemouth Golf Club’s Senior Section is for men over 60 years of age and is an integral part of the club.
Comprising 373 members, with the eldest 91 years young, the section is a significant and vibrant part of the club.
Any member turning 60 is automatically enrolled as a senior; there is no fee.
Competitions
We have competitions throughout the year, usually on Mondays, plus a Seniors Championship and singles and doubles knockouts, whilst our team also competes in the Northumberland Seniors League alongside 12 other clubs.
The team also plays a series of friendly matches involving our Ladies and Junior sections.
Our Memorial Trophy celebrates members no longer with us, and we finish off the day of competitive golf with a meal.
The Captain and Vice-Captain also play weekly challenge matches throughout the summer and raise money for charity.

Many thanks to everyone who came along. Using the modified Florida scoring system meant that only 2.5 points separated the top nine teams!
