Ladies Section

Welcome to Tynemouth Ladies, established in 1915, our Section is a welcoming and friendly group of over 100 members of mixed ages and golfing abilities. New members are always welcome at Tynemouth, from beginners to experienced golfers.

Golf Club
Our members meet, play and socialise throughout the week, taking advantage of the course, clubhouse, catering and a fabulous sun terrace. Tynemouth Golf Club runs a range of popular Open Competitions (men, ladies and mixed) and there is a range of social activities, from dinners to quizzes, organised and held throughout the year providing the opportunity to meet other members.

Competitions
Ladies Competitions are played on a Tuesday (18 hole and 9 hole) featuring strokeplay, stableford, knockouts through to fun formats. Sunday is the alternate competition day enabling all our members the opportunity to play competitive golf.

Tynemouth Ladies have two teams playing in the Northumberland County League, along with TR Percy, Nora Percy and evening league teams, all providing competitive golf opportunities for members of all handicaps.

Development
Having recently achieved the Women in Golf Charter both Tynemouth Golf Club and the Ladies Section are committed to encouraging women and girls into golf by exploring and providing a range of support and activities:

- Golf Buddy system for those new to golf or the club
- support the Get into Golf programme
- provide more social golf activities
